Management Team
Ir Robert Ng – Founder and Managing Director, RPE, MHKIE, MCIArb, BSc (Hons), MBA, MConstEng
Robert is a registered professional engineer (civil) with more than 35 years of experience in supplying and advising on metal scaffolding, metal falsework, formwork and working platform solutions to main contractors and subcontractors based all over the world.
Since 2002, Robert has been the course leader and tutor of various training programmes at the Occupational Health and Safety Council (as part of the Hong Kong Labour Department).
He is a certified PASMA Instructor for the safe use of Scaffold Mobile Tower and an Enerpac Hydraulic Equipment and Heavy Lifting Expert.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Dundee (UK) and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University (UK), He also holds a master's degree in Construction Management and also Postgraduate Diploma in Arbitration and Mediation.
Kevin Ng - Management Representative, Solicitor, LLM, LLB, MStructEng (pending)
Kevin oversees the operations, compliance and business development aspects of the FARS Team. He is also responsible for ISO standard compliance within FARS.
He joined the Team in 2019 as the Management Representative. Previously, he was a practising solicitor working in commercial and civil and criminal litigation practices. Having grown up in Hong Kong, he earned his bachelor's and master's law degrees at the University of Portsmouth (UK) and Durham University (UK) respectively and completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) at the University of Hong Kong (HK).
He is a certified PASMA Instructor for the safe use of Scaffold Mobile Tower and is currently studying a part-time master's degree in advanced structural engineering, Heriot-Watt University.
Administration and Yard Teams
Esther – Administration & Finance Manager
Esther is in charge of the Administration Department and Finance Department.
She oversees the procurement, inventory control, contractual fulfilment and billing process of the FARS Team. She is also responsible for maintaining effective internal communications among the teams.
She joined the Team in 2011 and has over 25 years of experience in administration, billing and operations in the construction industry.
She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
Anthony Ng - Yard Manager
Joined the FARS Team in 2015, Anthony is in charge of the project, warehouse and logistics coordination of the Team. He is responsible for overseeing the administrative and HR tasks in the warehouse, including stocktaking, receiving and dispatching inventory, coordinating with the management team, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
He works closely with FARS' design engineers and on-site construction teams to ensure all work is being delivered in the highest standard.
He is the Team’s appointed Competent Person for Form 5 certification, safety supervisor and certified skilled trader in metal scaffolding. He is a certified PASMA Instructor for safe use of Scaffold Mobile Tower and a Heavy Lifting expert certified by Enerpac.
Prior to joining the Team, he studied his bachelor's degrees in Nutrition Science at University of Manitoba (Canada), and in Property Management at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HK). He has also just completed the bachelor's degree in Construction Management at the University of Wolverhampton.
Lau Gor - Warehouse Supervisor (Operations)
He is a key member of the warehouse team, responsible for supervising, leading and motivating teams of workers to ensure timely and accurate completion of operations such as picking, loading and unloading of goods in a warehouse.
With more than 30 years of experience in the construction site, he has shown excellent leadership skills, including the ability to coach, mentor and develop team members.
Andrew - Logistic Officer
Andrew is responsible for all shipment and delivery arrangements and the preparation of the necessary documentation in the contractual fulfilment process.
He also helps to maintain a smooth information flow among the teams to ensure the equipment is delivered in a timely manner.
He joined the FARS Team in 2023 and has had over 10 years of experience of warehouse and logistics back-office support experience.
He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
Bonnie - Accountant, BA
Bonnie is responsible for the accounting function of the FARS Team. She has altogether almost 30 years of experience in handling books, financial reporting, and tax matters in the logistics, trading, and manufacturing industries. She has also earned a Bachelor of Arts Accountancy with Honours at University of Bolton. She joined the Team in mid-2021.
She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin Chinese.
Design & Sales Team
Aki - Senior Design Engineer, BSc
Aki provides general design support to customers and engages with them on a day-to-day basis to ensure they receive the necessary design support that they need to deliver their work.
Aki's job involves the design and calculation work of our working platform, falsework and formwork system products, and also that of many of our special work.
She joined the FARS Team in 2013 as an Assistant Engineer and was later promoted to Engineer.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in Product Analysis with Design and Higher Diploma in Computer-Aided Engineering Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong).
Allan - Senior Design Engineer, BSc
Allan is a civil engineer with 20+ years of experience in working with formworks, falseworks, scaffolding, planning, designing, surveying, and inspecting. He has also served in leadership positions during his professional experience.
Allan has a wealth of knowledge from his work history as a Project Engineer for several companies for nearly 2 years, followed by several years of being a Plan and Design Engineer, to lastly becoming a Project Engineer and a Senior Design Engineer.
He is certified in Civil Engineering and excels in AutoCAD, Construction, and Civil Engineering. Further, Allan is well-versed in his education. He earned a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering in 1999, followed by a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc, Civil Engineering) in 2002.
Man - Design Engineer
Man provides general design support to customers and oversees the satisfactory delivery of scaffolding works in projects.
He has been working in scaffolding design works for more than 15 years before joining the FARS Team in 2022.
Rongchang (小蔡) - Design Engineer, BA
Rongchang is responsible for the design and calculation of our working platform, falsework and formwork system products, and some of our special work. In addition to his design work for customers, he provides strong draftsmanship support to the design team.
He joined the FARS Team in 2017 as an Assistant Engineer.
Before he joined the Team, he had had experience working in commercial and residential interior design firms. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Art Design from Xiangnan University (PRC).
King Wan (敬尹) - Assistant Design Engineer
King Wan is responsible for the design and calculation of our working platforms and falsework. With great analytic ability, he assists in calculations and the preparation of drawings and design templates. He joined the FARS Team in early 2022 as a Design Technician.
He is currently studying for a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
Hydraulic Equipment & Heavy Lifting Division
Kevin Kong – Senior Sales Manager, BSc
Kevin specialises in the supply of fully automatic robotics machinery, hydraulic equipment and heavy lifting equipment, and has almost 30 years of experience in the industry.
He has joined FARS since the launch of this Division.
He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a bachelor’s degree in Building Technology and Management.
He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
Timmy – Sales Clerk
Timmy provides solid support to the Division by handling enquiries and transactions and scheduling shipping arrangements of hydraulic equipment.
She joined the FARS Team in 2022 as a Sales Clerk and already had earned almost 5 years of experience in administrative and transactional work before joining FARS.
She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
Ah Fat (發仔)- Product Technician
Wang Fat (發仔) is responsible for conducting after-purchase repair and maintenance services and demonstration projects for products such as our hydraulic equipment, heavy lifting systems and robotic cleaning solutions.
Prior to joining us, he worked as an aircraft mechanic for Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO). He graduated from IVE with two Higher Diplomas in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Accountancy. He is currently studying a part-time degree in mechanical engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
He speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
Project Team
Les Ho - Site Supervisor
Les has been a part of the FARS Team since late 2023 and holds the responsibility for overseeing the project, warehouse, and logistics coordination.
He collaborates closely with FARS' design engineers and on-site construction teams to guarantee the delivery of work at the highest standard.
Limbu - Team Leader
Limbu is the in-house team leader for FARS scaffolding workers. He has extensive knowledge and experience in managing scaffolding teams, as well as a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures. He is responsible for managing and supervising daily scaffolding operations, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. They will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, be able to motivate and lead teams of scaffolders effectively and be proficient in managing project schedules and budgets.
